If you want maximum flexibility or have a group of 4 or more, a private tour often works out to a similar or better value per person.

Semiprivate tours include an expert local guide, comfortable van transport throughout the day, and hotel pickup within 1.5 miles of downtown Boston. We recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend departures and Salem tours in September and October. Our October Salem tours sell out well ahead of time.
