Food, history, and Boston's very unique culture! The experience is designed to cover all the "must see'' historical Boston locations, while tasting delicious local cuisine and hearing lesser-known stories about Boston's checkered past.

Tour multiple historical neighborhoods in Boston and Cambridge, getting the culture and architecture highlights from all the areas of the city. In addition to the major historical highlights, this tour covers areas not often seen on the tourist path, with well researched and entertaining stories told by a long time local resident and historian! A traditional cannoli and coffee breakfast in Little Italy and a lobster roll and chowder dinner are included in the tour! Free time for lunch and souvenir shopping in a historical area of the city with delicious food and great shops.

Itinerary

Caffe Vittoria
Start the day with a European style breakfast in Little Italy. A traditional Italian cannoli and a coffee beverage (or tea) of choice included!

North End
Tour this neighborhood, known as “Little Italy” and learn about the role immigrants have in shaping Boston’s dynamic past and present! Listen to stories about the Boston’s maritime past and how it shaped the North End. Learn about how the area rose to prominence due to famous residents such as Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, mother of JFK.

Copp’s Hill Burying Ground & Old North Church
Stroll through Boston’s second oldest burying ground, taking in view of the harbor and Charlestown. Learn all about Boston’s part in the events of the American Revolution. Visit the Old North Church and learn all about the midnight ride of Paul Revere and the historical inaccuracies of the famous poem!

Italian Salumeria
Check out a real Italian salumeria shop, cheese, meats, and pasta from the Old World!

Charlestown
Charlestown is home to the last two stops on the Freedom Trail with the Bunker Hill Monument and the USS Constitution. See “Old Ironside”, the world's oldest ship still afloat, and then proceed to the Bunker Hill Monument. The tall obelisk monument of Bunker Hill marks the location of the first battle of the American Revolution!

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)

Copley Square
Previously known as Art Square, this area is or was home to all famous cultural institutions of Boston. Visit the Boston Copley Library, known for hosting the “Sistine Chapel of America” and marvel at the famous Trinity Church across the square.

Reflecting Pool
Take in the scenery from a calm pool of water with stunning views of the Boston skyline. Located next to the intersection the Avenue of Music and the Avenue of Arts, the area is a great location for photos of Boston!

South End
Stroll through one Boston’s most picturesque tree-lined neighborhoods. This historic area is home to Boston’s “Restaurant Row”, a stretch of a few brownstone blocks along Tremont Street featuring some of the city’s absolute best restaurants!

South Boston
The traditionally blue-collar Irish neighborhood of South Boston, locally known as “Southie”, is not to be confused with the posh brownstone-lined South End, which lies on the other side of the Central Artery. Southie was the operations hub of infamous mobster Whitey Bulger during the 20th century. Today the neighborhood is popular with young professionals who flock to the new restaurant and bars, as well as longtime residents who enjoy the beach access and relative privacy of the eastern end of the neighborhood.

Lobster Roll & Cup of Chowder
